Dewey decided he wanted NOTHING to do with having his nails clipped. The little bugger started squirming out of my arms. I didn't want him to take a flying leap and break his back or get injured so I held on and payed the price. Does anyone else feel my pain?

Oh yeah I've been there.

Usually tho, I just have gotten to where I do their nails very slowly, don't trim a lot but often..... and I have someone help me for the ones I can't reach holding them upright. Bo has gotten SO much better doing it this way.

My bf and I have to double team Max to clip his nails. My bf holds him and I clip.

Right now my grooming nightmare is Max's shedding... he's only 3lbs but he sheds more than his body weight every winter for 4 months straight! Eeek!

Ouch! I usually wrap my guys in a towel before I pick them up for nail clipping. Protect myself + them as well. Been there with scratches way too often!

Erika I feel your pain!!

But that happens to me everytime I carry Benjamin :(

Whenever I carry him with him against me he struggles and striggles and I get scratches to death!! So i have to carry him with his little boy bits facing outwards and even then he still jumps :(

Wow! I didn't realize how lucky I am that Oaks just sits there when I cut her nails. I just thought all rabbits did that. I do, however, feel your pain from years of owning iguanas. I'm thinking the towel idea is a good one :)

I feel your pain! Some of the people at work were joking around that Will is "abusive" and scratches me. :grumpy: Emma gave me a doozey awhile back. I have scar from it... At any given time, my arms look like crap. I even use the bunny burrito. *sigh*
