Grooming a human?

Hello fellow RO members!

I have a question for ya. Dunkin loves to groommy hand. Infact, he even groomed my mom's hand. He is just a very affectionate bun, thoughonly to humans it seems. After he grooms me, of course I HAVE togive him lots ofscritches after, or he will get very offended.

So why does he do this?

Some bunny's do it cause they are licking the salt of your hands. And poosibly he is thursty. It's perficly normal for bunny's to do it. They are showing there love.

yep, it's mostly because they :hearts you. It's very sweet and my guys don't do it, so enjoy it!:hugsquish:

Well he drinks plenty of water. Him doing it because my skin is salty I totally understand. I also think he views at as, "Hey, I groom you and you groom me back."

Edited to add: My bun will lick my hands, but only if I've given her head pets (in other words, grooming) 1st.

Toby does this, too. When I'm watching a movie while on the couch, I put Toby on a pillow in my lap, and will pet him. Normally, he will start to "groom" my arm and will pretty much groom the whole darn thing! The other night I was laying on the floor by the window (I was really warm and not feeling good) and Toby hopped over oh-so-quietly (scared the heck out of me) and started licking the inside of my ear (the top part). He groomed both of my ears (with much giggling on my part) and then he sat next to me and waited to be pet. He will hop-up into the bed with me in the mornings, too. He always gets ear scratchies in the A.M.

My bun Charlie loves to groom my eyebrows and the back of my neck... not sure why. I put a halt that the eyebrow grooming after one time he took a little nibble out of it and it took me weeks of makeup to get it to grow back properly.

Dippy grooms me by licking and rearranged my clothes but Fluffball isnt so gentle! She rearranges my clothes by scrabbling and biting them :shock: ! It's still sweet though.
