I have an older rabbit that just today started dragging her hind legs. They stick out to the sides & she uses them a bit, but barely at all. I'm not sure what would cause this, I can't say for sure she didn't hurt her back in her cage since she could have done it over night, but it just started today. She also had some stool really matted in her hind fur and after I cleaned her out she ate & drank just like normal.

I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow to rule out anything we can. I've read a lot of old posts on here about what it could be, so right now all I'm asking is for prayers, good thoughts, good wishes, anything you can send our way right now.

I'm a very worried mommy, trying to keep all the bad thoughts out.

Best wishes for you and your bun. I hope the vet visit goes well and they are able to figure out what is going on.

I thought this link might be helpful, if you haven't already seen it.

Just wanted to let you know that I am praying for your bunny & her vet visit tomorrow. Praying that all will go well & the vet will be able to give you good news that it is something simple & easily fixed even for an older bunny. I'm a big worrier too especially with my animals. Bunny hugs to you & your bunny. Hope you will be able to post an update with good news after your vet visit.

Hopefully she doesn't have broken paws. Their feet bones can shatter into a thousand different pieces easily.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. JBun I hadn't seen that, thank you. Every time I watch her move it breaks my heart, I hope the veg can ssh something for her.

Well I had to put my baby down. She had cancer and it had moved into her spine. I feel like a jerk for not noticing she had it in the first place, but she never acted any differently.

Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes.

It's not your fault for not noticing she was ill. Unfortunately rabbits are very good at hiding it when they're sick. I'm sure you gave her a great life and I'm very sorry for your loss.
