Hi there!

So I started a new thread so if andwhen I do have questions or concerns I can just cram them into here :).

The girls were originally going for this Friday, but the vet that isdoing the spays, Dr. Stockley, won't be thereso I rebooked itfor the 16th. They are getting spayed at the Eagle Ridge hospital.

I am a bit nervous, but more excited. I can't wait until this is over and done with! Then the real bonding can begin .

Oh I'm hoping it goes well! I'm sure it will!

I know what you mean about wanting to get it over with, it's so worrying!
So I'msending positive thoughts and prayers to you, Pebbles and Poppy!

Great, Dr. Stockley still helps out there? Awesome. :)

I'm sure they'll be fine -- although pretty grouchy for a day or so. :grumpy

:clover::goodluck for a quick and easy op and a fast recovery.

sas

Thanks! Both are tough little cookies, sohopefully they'll be ok.I got some alfalfa hay and some morepapaya treats for after the spay, hopefully something they won't beable to refuse. I still need to get some baby food and another syringebecause I can't remember where I put my big one.

Next week I might start working vegetables into their morning routineso they have more fluids for before the spay. Pebbles drinks a lot ofwater, but Poppy gets most of her fluids from her night timevegetables.

Should I decrease the size of their cages? I'm going to take outPebbles shelf, but should I make their cages into a 1 x 3 for after thespay? Pebbles can be a bit hyper, so I don't want her hurting herself.

Spring I know people say to limit activity andall but I never have. It's my thought that if they are in pain, theywont want to jump anyways. There are so many people who change nothingabout their routine or cage after a spay and their rabbits are fine.Reese has been very active since about 2 days after her spay and I tookthat as her way of telling me she was feeling good so I let her out torun and she is still fine and she has been running and binkying quite alot.

As for the veggies, I use them as my secret weapon for after surgerymeals. When Reese went in, I didn't give her the veggies first thing inthe morning. She was used to getting them about 8:00 at the time andthat's when her spay was but I always send the veggies along and tellthem to give them immediately after surgery because all mine have beenmore likely to eat veggies than pellets. So far it's been working goodfor me.

Don't stress yourself out too much hun, they'll be ok. Just relax and everything will be alright.

Oh ok, great! I'll have to see how they handle it.

How long after should I look into maybe starting introductions? I'llsee how well they recover, but I was thinking 4-6 weeks after? SoundOK? I'm so eager to start introductions because I know they love beingaround each other, but I don't want to rush anything.
