I got this from the House Rabbit Society. I don'tknow the exact source for the figures, but they have been widelyperpetuated so I imagine they're relatively accurate:
- By the age of 5 up to 80% of unspayed female rabbits (does) will develop uterine/reproductive cancer.
- There is approximately .1% mortality due to anesthesia.
- While testicular cancer is rare, it occurs at a rate higher than anesthesia deaths.
