One of my american chinchilla does, Lennox, is going through a moult. And a funky looking one at that. She seriously has a Groucho Marx thing going right now - she's got a major unibrow. She also has some weird furless patches on her shoulders.

She seems fine and I'm not really worried about her, but I'm just wondering if this is normal. And if it's not normal, is there anything I can do to help her along? I'll do the canned pumpkin thing and will continue to watch her and brush her as necessary, but if there's something I'm missing, please let me know.

The funny thing is Silvie is not having the same moult. She's moulting also, but not remotely in the same way.

Both girls are eating, drinking, pooping and peeing. I'm pushing hay and they always clean that up pretty quickly. Any experience would be welcome even though I think I'm the only one on the site with american chinchillas.

I'd take some pics, but my digital camera is out of commission. It's being repaired and I should have it back tomorrow maybe. I can take pics if needed then.

:). Thanks.
