I have two Netherland Dwarf litter sisters who were 1 on Boxing Day.
A friend has some 11 week old boys and I would love to get one or two.
I would keep them separate until they were desexed. Would they then bond?

Male to Male pairs are harder to bond rather than Male - Female pairs. It's possible but it takes a lot more work and they definitely both would need to be fixed.

Yes but most likely not right away. Bunnies are clannish and treat new bunnies in an agressive way at first until its established who is dominant and who is the scullery maid. Once they get over that odd intro behavior, it yends to vanish and they all settle down. The does can be the most high maintenance. I had a male and female who never mated. Acted like roommates. Adopted an unwanted bunny into mix. She went gangsta and would terrify the new guy, so jealous that the newbie fell for her man bunny. She would chase him and pull his hair. Treated him horrible, was very territorial. She died of lung cancer and at that point the 2 boys fell for each other in a gentleman caller way
So yes, it can happen but sometimes one bunny will simply not like newbies on her turf. With time and patience they do fine. If one bunny is being treated poorly during hazing, show him extra care and love. Competing for the top is one thing but no bunny should be mistreated or in harms way.

Ps- mine were Neatherland dwarfs too. The newbie adopted bunny was enormous, huge red head, extremely muscular thighs and had never seen a bunny. In the end they were a bunny bromance despite one being 11 pounds and one 3 lbs. Love is love. The big breeds are often the sweetest. My doe dwarf.. well she did not share her companion and that was that.

Wait. I'm not sure I follow.

Are the two sisters currently bonded? Are you asking about bonding the male(s) with the females? Or are you talking about getting the pair of boys to bond with each other?
