My mom was listening to NPR (National public Radio) a couple days ago when she heard a inteveiw with a guy talking about a website he had made called freerice.com, now don't go away it gets interesting! This guy had bulit the web site for his son to help him study vocab for his SAT tests. Anywa people heard about and started asking to post adds on the website and somehow it lead to the advertisers paying for 20 grains of rice for every word you got right to go the United Nations to help people starving.

I don't why but it's allot of fun, there are some words on there that are really weird and silly!

I donated 1,000 grains before I had to quit...I made it to level 41 but kept going down to lvl 38 & 39 and then back up.

Sure is a fun site.

45 but keep going back to 42. A large part of my job is writing and I love words. Wonder how much I will remember?

I suck at English ( Well words anyways) And thats pretty sad because I was raised English.

That's okay, some of those words are REALLY hard!!! I like trying to say them, I sound soooooo silly!

My mom made it up to level 50 once, but then lost it.

When i did it by myslef I only got to level 30.

Yes, isn't that a great site? My daughter sent me that link back in November. Don't know how many grains we're up to now, I've never kept track.
I got up to level 50 several times now, but I can never keep it there for long. Average level is about 45-46.
