Fraggles has terrible gas tonight.

So Fraggles is terribly gassy tonight and Jason wants to take her to the E-vet even though she has a vet appointment in the am for an unrelated issue. Other then the gas she is perfectly normal. Playing,hopping,flopping. I just saw her use her potty and get a long drink from her bottle. Now she is munching hay but the whole living room smells of bunny gas..... I am a little concerned I did give her a belly rub which she enjoyed and her tummy was soft and did not seem tender or painful. She also had cilantro tonight. So should we be concerned?

I'd wait for the appointment in the AM if she is acting normal. Harvey does get gassy at times. But he hate me touching his belly. I do give him the baby gas meds which he loves. Have you tried that?

Tho I have never smelt bunny gas XD

We are getting ready for her appt this morning
Fraggles is her usual happy self. I talked to Sas via facebook lastnight and she calmed are fears explaining "that a flatulant bunny is a happy bunny". I guess as long as the gas was being expelled there was really nothing to worry about. I will post about her appt later which is also nothing serious

Is there any way that she was marking things rather than farting? Ned used to let off stink bombs when he was feeling territorial. Made the hairs in your nose curl and I'm very glad he got over it! In any case, I'm glad she's all better today And congrats on becoming a moderator! When did that happen? I feel like a worthless blob, been here 4 years and I just putt around on the forum

I don't think she was marking. She would be laying in her bed and all the sudden her tail would go up and then STINK! Actually Jason was trying to blame it on poor Tattoo and when that did not work he said the tans must be back. I have been a mod for about a week now

Okay, her lifting her tail and tooting is pretty hilarious since she seemed otherwise happy and healthy! Did she make a farting sound too? I've only ever smelled one of my bunnies fart once and it was memorable because I was holding him on his back like a baby with his butt about a foot from my face. If I recall correctly, he did make a little tootle sound. That was 16 years ago though so I could be wrong. Thanks for the memory, Cinnabun

I hope Fraggles is okay. Gas can be scary. Sweetie goes through gas bouts about every year or so. I just give her gas meds and it clears up.

Gas is scarry when they aren't passing it. Becky had terrible gas from her oral antibiotic. I would give her the simithicone and rub her tummy. I could feel and even hear the gas bubbles pop under my fingers. The more they would pop the more Becky would relax.

If it is passing on it's own I imagine the bun would be perfectly content because then it wouldn't hurt.

LOL The mental image of Tattoo being the culprit is so funny.
