Fraggles drank her pee! Help!!!!

I never thought I would have to post something like this. But Frags peed on our hardwood floor (something she never does) Then turned around and drank it! Please tell me why she would do this. If my husband see's her do this he will have a stroke.

The times we've had the bunnies in the bathtub for bonding, that's happened. Junie peed in the corner, turned around and started sniffing/licking at it! I quickly pushed her away and wiped it up. I don't know why they would do that. Maybe they think it's similar to the poops they eat?

I went to get a mop and when I came back she was sucking it up off the hardwood. GROSS!

Hmmm I dunno why she would do that. Hmmmm either way I think about it it's still gross haha. Maybe she's making second use of whatever minerals/etcs is peed out. I don't know if that makes any sense.

Horatio licks his pee sometimes when he goes on a puppy pad! Kind of the same thing... Don't they get nutrients from it or something?

I've never seen any of the buns do this, but the ferrets do it frequently. When I brought them in for checkups and asked about it I was told by my exotic savvy vet that it is a normal behavior and possibly has to do with additional vitamin intake. It's in my Ferrets for Dummies book also; the section says no one is entirely sure why it happens but it's nothing that will cause harm.

Nom nom nom. Maybe we should be offering them straws.

I know it's disgusting but I found nothing that states there's an issue. I once saw Kreacher do it when he had an accident on the floor. Yuk, but not harmful.

Out of curosity did Jason enjoy his usual grooming. Maybe Fraggles found out about Miss Muppet's new career and was just expressing her disaproval of the little diva's getting so much attention.

Jason kept asking me why I was laughing while Frags groomed his face.
Maybe it is out of protest considering the little diva refuses to groom Fraggles.

Phoebe does this and we were told it's not harmful. It IS gross though. Phoebs, your water bowl is RIGHT THERE!

If it is a one-time occurrence, I wouldn't think too much on it. But, if you see Fraggles doing it quite often (and the urine appears to be diluted), it may be something else, possibly kidney problems.

It may also be nothing. Some buns do drink/lick their pee occasionally. My Bighead used to drink his pee, too. Yum!

Pebbles would drink her own pee, but she was such a clean bunny.
Bebe on the other hand would pee and leave it there, more of a protest. But she is very good with the litter box when she is happy.

Taffy has done this before..and I wasn't to thrilled with her for it. Not sure why some do and some don't.
