First i want to tell you i got this gut wrenching sickening feeling because this was in the infirmary section and i want to yell at you and tell you not to ever do that to ME again.

On a side note he is too cute , even toof less, lol. I just want to kiss him, i wish i lived closer cause i would come over to get a fix.

Now for those who dont know Dallas has no teeth, right, even his back ones are out. Which i think is great for people to see that a bunny can l ive with no teeth at all.

Ali are thier any differences between feeding him and a bunny with all its teeth? Are thier things that you advoid because of him not having his teeth, or cut things a lil different? I know with Sooty because of his Malo he cant really eat a baby carrot so i get the shreded carrots and he has an easier time with that. Other than that he has no other problems eating with his Malo.

He lives just fine with no teeth.

Umm no just have to break something up for him. Say the way you dice celery? Just anything that is hard like that just dice. Sooty and Dallas more than likely get the same things.

Having no teeth doesn't stop me from loving him!!! :inlove:

Dallas IS a wonder. A wonder he's still not with you and not with me or Fran yet lol! :p

So does he actually have no teeth, what so ever? Not even a little one? Does he eat pellets and hay?

Nope all his teeth were removed. Though in the third pic I think I see a tiny chip of something?:shock:Going to have Rob look soon. He eats pellets and hay like he is starved.:D

I haven't posted this because it just started up again on Fri.

Beau who had 5 teeth extracted several months ago and then developed a swelling and pus ( at the corner of his eye on the opposing side of where the teeth were extracted) was doing much better on bicillin and antibiotic salve until Fri when pus again is oozing out of his left eye.
I think this is related to his teeth, blocked tear duct, God knows what

I am going crazy trying to figure out what to do as I don't trust the vet near me and would have to make the trip to verona to see the animal dentist.

I cannot imagine Beau eating anything but soft food ( he eats critical care and BBT) in awet gruel . he tries to eat veggies and hay but cannot do it

i wish I could have ALL his teeth taken out in order to end his misery; they cause such a problem to him.

How can yourDallas eat hay??

just don't know?????????????:?

Did the vet pull all the teeth at once or only a few at a time?

just cannot imagine a rabbit going through all of that as Beau did pretty bad with having 5 pulled.

I'm guessing he can eat hay as he would just fold it in his mouth and swallow? Isn't that how regular bunnies eat it too?

Funny gummy bunny :p.

First I am so sorry he is going through this again.

Dallas eats hay like nothing. It doesn't phase him. Though he does go more for the softer bits.

He had it done all at once. He was 8mnths when I got him and he already had them removed.

I wonder why all his teeth were removed?

Beau has had teeth pulled that grew back ...

if I thought he could eat hay and veggies without teeth I would be so happy
i think that his mouth hurts him as he has gum disease and infected tooth roots and almost anything else that can go wrong with a mouth.:(

he is already five and although his health is good despite all of this I don't know if he could endure it

I am going to try to make the trip to verona this week...if i can get him in

but I am unsure if they can do dental work on him when his eye is oozing pus.

I am guessing it is an infected toothroot

Severe malocusions. Very bad breeding.:(

:bump

OMG I can't stand how I felt when I wrote that last Nov

Beau and I were so unhappy!!!!

yeh I wanted to ask Kathy Smith why molars cannot be pulled?..carefully

Bumping because I need these pictures.
