Eric called yesterday and he is SO happy. He just got a new job....lower pay...which isn't really "good" but he won't have to work the graveyard shift anymore and he won't have to deal with drunks (which was really discouraging to him). He was working at a convenience store from 11 pm - 7 am and they've been severely understaffed. He was scheduled to work 9 days in a row between breaks because they didn't have enough people to work.

He'd already talked to the manager and let her know that he was going to leave as soon as he got a job and that it *might* be without notice if it was sudden ~ because he would need to be awake for a day job and they were not willing to give him daytime hours.

Anyway - he got hired on at Subway yesterday. Yes, I know it isn't the best place to work and people can be really grumpy sometimes. But Eric is a "people-person" and he is always trying to make people smile or laugh. He's happy because he will be working 4 pm - closing Mondays through Fridays for now ~ I'm not sure how they will work things once he gets a play going or even if he's going to be doing any directing this spring, etc.

But I'm happy for him because he was so miserable and so discouraged and the hours were killing him.

Just had to share...oh...and he is sounding better too.

I'm glad things are staring off good for Eric and that he's feeling better!

And about this....

I usually keep a Primatene inhaler on hand. Tastes nasty, fast-acting, works ok...but can cause a bit of mucous, it's cheap and available, and it's good to have in case of an emergency.

:hug1
I found out that they've taken the inhaler off the market due to ozone depleting ingredients.
My wife tried to bid on some on ebay but got outbid. Now we can't find it anywhere....RATS!

Wow...I'm happy to hear things really looking up for him, Peg! That's so wonderful!!

And yes, Subway won't pay as much...but he'll relish having his nights for sleep again, and still being able to have at least part of his days. Good for him!

Sounds like he's in a destressing portion of his life...that's wonderful! He sure needed a break...and some time to be able to just relax and think a bit.

Hugs to you both (all),
