Oh and blood sausage? Not sure what it is in english... But yeah, um no. :p

Black pudding over here- YUCK! I won't eat that! I wouldn't ever eat anything offaly either, or stuff like fish roe etc...

Being at home most of the day, I tend to watch a lot of cooking programmes (don't tell my friends! :blushan:), and recently there seems to be a lot of rabbit being cooked! :cry2I have to cover every mention of 'rabbit' by saying 'chicken' really loudly so as not to upset the buns...

Oh, and Bo B Bunny, now you make me want pancakes!! I might have to go make some lol!!! :biggrin2:

My favorite foods, and stuff that I get HUGE cravings for:

I LOVE cheese...ALWAYS crave cheese...any cheese, in just about any way!!

Love spinach, too.

Love cabbage...raw, boiled, with corned beef...yummmmm

I really love liver and onions...

I go into spurts of craving the following:

- waffles (like Eggo waffles)

- pancakes

- salad, just about any kind

- I go into fits of craving steamed cauliflower or brocolli with cheese (like Velveeta)

- salmon, cooked just about any way

- steak, cooked my husband's way

- chicken fried steak (either with eggs or mashed potatos)

- RICE...either with brocolli & cheese, or regular rice pilaf, etc.

- Diced tomatos and cucumbers with bleu cheese and italian dressing. I let it sit for a while and soak up a bit of the dressings. Yummm...

That's all I can think of right at this moment, but there ya go. :)

Now I want Brocolli

and Cucumbers, carrots, cauliflower, green pepperwith ranch dip

We eat rice sometimes - my daughter loves it. My son likes this easy recipe I make - ground beef (I like ground round) browned with onion and a bit of garlic powder. Then drain - add a can of good brown/beef gravy and pour it over prepared white rice.

It's kind of like a beef manhattan sort of thing.

To the raisin addict, how about dried mangoes? We love them! Unfortunately, the brand we have here is coated in sugar, but they still taste great! I also love chocolate raisins, Raisinets are one of my favorite candies and at least you get a serving of fruit while enjoying your chocolate! :biggrin2: Has anyone made their own yogurt? I bought a yogurt maker, it cost $12 and you really save a lot of money by making your own if you eat a lot of yogurt. It costs only a little more than a gallon of milk to make a gallon of yogurt. It's easy to do and tastes good and you can add whatever you want to flavor it. I like adding a little sugar and crushed pineapple or just stirring in a bunch of honey. Paul likes to stir in jam.

Ooh...that beef on rice idea sounds YUMMY!

Reminds me of how my mom would make her beef stroganoff sometimes with cream of golden mushroom soup and put it over white rice...

Oh YUM...uh oh...think I might have to make that soon...LOL!!

THANKS A LOT!! ROFLOL!!

Ohh I have a good stroganof open faced sandwich recipe the whole family loves! (extended family! we have it at get togethers now and then)

I also like green pepper in my rice and brown gravy (that's what we call it LOL)

Now, I want that.......

Crud.

Heh, the hamburger stroganoff reminds me of one of our favorite "poor food" recipes. You just bring equal parts water and milk to a boil, stir in the number of chicken bouillon cubes that corresponds to how much liquid you have, stir some flour into some more milk and whisk it in. Cook a couple minutes until it's thickened. Stir in some pepper, garlic powder and seasoning salt or some cajun seasoning. You can add a veggie if you want, too. Serve over macaroni. Talk about cheap, and pretty good! Paul and I eat it a lot, but I wouldn't feed it to company :biggrin2:

My outlaw side of the family are pretty much country people so they feed everyone whatever LOL!

The sandwhiches are good - they are like ground round, seasoning, sour cream, worschesitervorwerdjglsll sauce, over buttered hoagies (this isn't the exact recipe LOL!) with cheddar cheese over them.... bake until cheese melts and rolls get a bit toasty on the edges..... optional toppings of green pepper and tomato.

Tasty - heart attack on a plate LOL!

One of our favourite recipes, Steve's all time favourite that he asks for ALL the time, is onion pasta. It's soo simple to make but the nicest thing ever!

You slice about 2 large onions per person, into half rings, and fry themin olive oilon a low heat for about half an hour or so, and then add half a pint of vegetable stock, with some tomato purree and salt and pepper. Wait until the stock has reduced and you have a kind of thick oniony sauce. Mix in some grated cheese and the cooked pasta and VOILA! The best pasta dish I EVER tasted! :D

I love to cook curry as wel, my dad makes the best curries ever. I made one tonight, it was delicious! :dude:

That sounds YUMMY, mouse_chalk! What kinda cheese do you use??

I would LOVE to try a curry dish...haven't yet, though! Always smells insanely wonderful when I smell it, though!

You can use any- I use cheddar cheese, but fresh parmesan goes well too... :)

Curry isSOOO easy to cook! I did beef in black pepper and yoghurt tonight- you brown some stewing beef, then set it aside, then fry 2 onions (for 4 people) and 3/4 cloves of garlic, (all chopped really small) for about 5 mins. Then add a tablespoon of paprika, a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, teaspoon of saltand a teaspoon/ teaspoon and a half of regular ground black pepper. Then add about 250mls of plain white yoghurt (might need more), and put the whole pot in the oven at 180 degres celsius for hour, hour and a half. It the meat isn't tender enough add some boiling water and oven for another half an hour or so. Then serve with plain white rice, or whatever else you like! :biggrin2:

That's my dad's speciality, he made extra for me and mum bought it round when I was ill- it's not too spicy, but soooo nice!:)If it turns out too spicy, you can serve some extra yoghurt on the side to cool it down a bit.

Sorry if any of the measurements/temps are different lol...
