My boyfriend and i adopted a black and white lop today from someone from craigslist who could no longer care for her (for whatever reason. Didnt ask for details). She is just over a year old and unspayed and, we think, had been living outside in a hutch.
This is the first rabbit we have ever had, but we have had (and still have) guinea pigs.

Right now, shes very curious about her surroundings and doesnt put up much of a fight when we get a hold of her, though she does try to run a bit when we go to get her.

I just want to be a good rabbit mom, so any advice or input would be well received.

I hope to become a regular around here, so il see you guys around :)

The image attached is where she decided to set up camp in our living room. Right behind the front door haha. She doesnt seem interested in the veggies and fruits right now, but i think thats just because she is still unsure about her surroundings.

Oh! Ha! Oops

the person who had her before called her Oreo, so i think we are going to stick with that name since shes had it for a year. We're still discussing it, though.

My boyfriend wants to name her "Lady Bunnington of Griffin's Roost, bannerbun to Storm's End"

i think its a little wordy, though haha.

I like the way your boyfriend thinks. Our own two are named: (ahem) Mr Merlin Bunniculus von Puffsbottom and Her Majesty Queen Naja Seraphina.

Oreo's the name of pretty much every black and white pet ever, this beautiful lady you've got deserves better than that! x)

The length of the name doesn't really matter as you can shorten it to Lady or whatever you want--they are very quick learners. She probably never had veggies before, but they do so come to love them--ours are all rescues so most didn't know what a veggie was at first. Would rec a vet visit and a neutering once she's settled in. Our black and white bunnies are named Finn, Serena, Hutch, Bonnie, and Vanilla, so, Oreo may be a common name but not all get it.
