Thumper is peeing all over the place! He was doing sooo well after his neuter. I am not sure if he is just angry at me for being away or what? :ponder:

He doesn't like it when I am away for long periods of time and he has made this known. Before, he used to nip at chargeat me for 3 hrs till he got over me being at work and school all day. However, he is never alone for that long. My boys are with him after 3pm. Well, this week, he's not nipping and charging at me but now I am wondering if he is showing his discontent with me by peeing all over the place again. :foreheadsmack:I gave him a time out but it is beyond me how to handle this behavior.

Please HELP!

Oh, Thumper! Causing your mom anguish. I don't really have ideas about the peeing except that perhaps he's ill? Does he seem to be acting normally other than that? Do bunnies get UTIs? I believe he was neutered about three weeks ago, so he still has some hormones kicking around in there, though I don't know why he would have just started peeing now if it was hormonal. Sorry I don't have much advice, hopefully someone who knows more will be along soon. Hugs for the bitey peeing cutey Thumper!

I'm suspecting something like a UTI myself - I am going to move this to the infirmary because it would be better safe than sorry.

Let's hope for some positive answers!

:(I truly hope my baby is not ill. He doesn't seem to be doing anything out of the ordinary. Eating and pooping well...running around, and giving lots of kisses. Is it possible that a month after his neuter is his trying to his mark territory again?

I've only owned 1 bun, but I have to say in my experience it took him a LONG time for the territory marking hormones to go away. He was neutered late though around 1 yrs old, so he'd had time get it in his head that marking was ok (thanks to his previous owner!) :p :) don't know if this is the case with your bun. One of the reasons why bun is happily living in the kitchen, lots of living room without me having to stress about the carpet + he gets frequent supervised romps/plays around the house. :sweep :) All buns are different, but I accepted that it worked better to not have my particular bun be full-house free roaming.

Thx for your response. I think I just have to learn patience. :biggrin2:He has been wonderful the last 3 days...so I'm hoping it'll last this time. He really is very precious.
