Awesome photo! Most of the cloud cover has lifted here and we've got a fantastic view. I can hardly type - my fingers are frozen - it's 10 degrees here.

I'm watching it from Daisy Mae's room, but the darn moon is moving to west so now i have to go stand outside.

Susan:)

ours turned red, my hub took some photos but did not really turn at all though. Awesome, crystal clear outside but brrrrrrrrrrrrrr it is soooooo cold.

Hey, did I hear the news people wrong or did they say you may be able to see Saturn's rings. Did anyone else hear that?

Susan:?

You heard correctly. I couldn't see anything with the telescope, but I was freezing and didn't want to mess around too long trying to see Saturn.

It's so cold outside, I can't hand hold the camera still enough. The lense is not long enough to get any closer. I'm not getting the darker red shade.

OMG, that is awesome. I just went out and just got a tiny ball of white:?:grumpy:. Point and Shoots don't do it with this kinda thing.

Great Job as usual, Stan!

And Happy Birthday again!:p

I never shot the moon before.

I thought I could casually take a few snapshots outside my house and head back inside where it was warm. NOT! :p

I ended up being outside for an hour or so, taking pictures and experimenting with the camera.
My hands and fingers got so cold, I couldn't work the buttons on the camera. :p

Here are the photos I took last night.

This is when the shadow of the earth was starting to coverthe moon.

I missed it completely. My neighbor came out and asked me about thesatellite last night. I didn't find out about the details until this morning.
