Awesome photo! Most of the cloud cover has lifted here and we've got a fantastic view. I can hardly type - my fingers are frozen - it's 10 degrees here.

ours turned red, my hub took some photos but did not really turn at all though. Awesome, crystal clear outside but brrrrrrrrrrrrrr it is soooooo cold.

You heard correctly. I couldn't see anything with the telescope, but I was freezing and didn't want to mess around too long trying to see Saturn.

I never shot the moon before.

I thought I could casually take a few snapshots outside my house and head back inside where it was warm. NOT!

I ended up being outside for an hour or so, taking pictures and experimenting with the camera.
My hands and fingers got so cold, I couldn't work the buttons on the camera.

Here are the photos I took last night.

This is when the shadow of the earth was starting to coverthe moon.

This shows the redness of the moon after it was completely in the shadow of the earth.

That little white spec in the upper right corner was a satellite.

Speaking of satellites, did you hear how the US Navy shot that missle to a satillite last night too? The missle hit it and shattered the satellite.

I missed it completely. My neighbor came out and asked me about thesatellite last night. I didn't find out about the details until this morning.
