$50 to tan for one month....I almost died. Ugh....how long does the tan last after you stop tanning? I'll probably stop tanning a few days before the wedding. I hope to have a nice tan by May 2nd (the wedding).
I asked the owner of the salon and he said to tan every 3 days until you get how dark you'd like. Once you get your desired darkness go once a week after that.
I've been told to tan 6 days a week, for now. The salon will let me know (or I will ask) when I should go less.

They set me at another 7 minutes today, but I was in the "hot bed". I am already noticing some color :D.
I thought you're not supposed to tan every day ( or 2 in a row ) because your skin needs resting time, atleast 1 day ?

I would think it is totally fine, or they wouldn't be telling me to come in every day for right now :p. I think it is fine, as long as you don't burn. I am not red at all, but I do notice some color change. I have also been showering afterwards, then putting on aloe vera after the shower.

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE AN ACCELERATOR.

It will give you these horrible blotchy white spots that will never go away. I had to learn that the hard way. =/

I burnt.. on my butt.. it hurts to sit.. My mom laughs at me.. it's also starting to peel, and itch.. yeah :(
HAHAHAH! Ouch! I have had that happen before, it isn't fun!

I am slightly red between thee, uh....****icles.....today. It doesn't hurt to touch, but it just looks very lightly red...may also have been the way I was sleeping, lol!

Pennie, that picture is HORRIBLE!:shock: That's got to be a joke right? Surely nobody could actually look that bad?!

And Beth, OUCH! That does look painful! I have had sunburn like that in the past. I had it so bad that I blistered once. I had to wear a t-shirt for the rest of the holiday but it hurt to wear clothes! I tend to burn more in the UK than when we go abroad because I forget that the sun can be really strong here. When we went to Sri Lanka 2 years ago, I barely even tanned because I was so careful!

It's still a really pretty picture though :)

Thanks! :) I think it was not too bad for a cheap wedding!

The day after the wedding, we were booked on a day trip to the Big Island, to see the volcano. It involved a bumpy flight and a bumpy bus tour, and lots of hiking. I was hobbling around in pain, but I made it through, and it was worth every minute. Thank goodness for Tylenol and caffeine!
I had to sleep on my stomach for a month with that burn.
