I moved my rabbits into their new shed today.yippeeeee! Of course it's still big enough but much better. Just afteri moved them i noticed 2 of my does, Blacky currently nursing a litter of 7 kits, 3 1/2 weeks old., and Mamapeach both had 3 piles of fresh cecal droppings in their cages. I saw Blacky's first and just thought she had left them for the babies but the I saw Mamapeach's piles. The only thing I've changed is I've cut my portion of pellets down to 1 cup a day except for Blacky, who gets free feed. They all get the same generous amount of hay and of course water as always. Could it just be they were excited because I moved everybody? Can cutting pellets back cause excess cecals?

Usually too much pellets causes excess cecals. But they might have been too interested in their new surroundings to eat their cecals. My buns have done that before.
