So I was motivated by it being adopt a rescue rabbit month and I started looking online. One of the shelters here doesn't put rabbits online, the other lists only like 4, so I started looking on craigslist. I found a woman who was looking for someone to adopt her bun it is an angora. So, I contacted her. We will be meeting tomorrow morn and see if she looks healthy I will have a new bun (I will probably take her even if she isn't healthy because I would feel horrible). Hopefully, she will be fine the woman has had her a short time and she came from a local shelter and is already spayed. So, I have had a dutch in the past so tonight I will be studying angora buns. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! I am crawling out of my skin in anticipation of bringing home my new bun!!! :bunnydance:

Of course!! I am rally excited but I am trying to keep it in check because even though I have been talking to this lady all day I am afraid she won't be there or something. I just hope everything goes ok!

Good luck! Be very careful with the bunny--it is always best to get a rabbit from the shelter because you can usually believe them that the animal is fixed and the correct gender (it's happened!) and probably in good health. Some shelters even have a short-term health insurance policy that will cover the bunny's health for a week or two after adoption (that's how it is at my shelter). Make sure ears, eyes, and nose are clear, no mats in the coat, no dust-looking stuff on the skin (that can be from fur mites), good mobility, acts alert, front teeth are well aligned, and no urine stains on the fur. That's all I can think of right now for outward signs of health...

Good luck with your new bun! Do you know what kind of Angora she is (English, Satin, French or Giant)?

She actually is from a shelter I met the lady there. She works there. She gave me the paper work for the spay and microchip. I'm not sure what type of angora so if anyone knows that would be great I tried to figure out from different websites but I couldn't really. She looks perfectly healthy! She has been redecorating her cage today and we are giving her some space so she can readjust. I have opened the cage door and sat outside of it and she comes and sniffs me and goes back in. I think in a couple of days she will be out playing! She has been eating and drinking and she let me do her hair. I thought it would be annoying to always have my hair in my face so I put hers in a bow! We are in love with her already!! So, meet Roxy....
