Hi All,
Our rabbit, Bogyó is a chinchilla colured, male, 3 and a half years old dwarf rex. Yesterday we have discovered small dark brown straight marks on the inner side of the right earflap halfway between the bottom and the top of the ear. ( see this photo)
We have googled for bunny ear problems but all we have found were description of ear mite symptoms - and they don't seem to match. The bottom of the ear, the earhole looks okay, and even around the marks the skin doesn't look irritated.
As this Wednesday we've been to the vet and she has cut his nails, we think that he has just hurt himself with those fresh-cut sharp nails.
Other than that everything seems to be fine. His behaviour and appetite is normal, no head tilt, no intense scratching, nothing.
My question: can it be the initial symptom of something serious, or are these probably just bruises and we are just overreacting? Thanks in advance for your advice!
