Dutchess refused her treats yesterday. Seemed lethargic. I gave her simethicone and forced her to eat parsley. She finally pooped and started eating. Saw exotics vet today. Dutchess has severe flea anemia (rbc only 22%). She was crawling with fleas. Revolution didn’t kill the fleas. He gave her oral Bravecto. She is back to eating again! Will feed her high iron veggies.

That's so fortunate you caught it and got her to the vet right away. I'm glad she's starting to feel better.

JBun, thank you! I feel bad though that I let her flea infestation get that terrible. Have been distracted with human health issues. I gave Abigail and Uno buns the oral Bravecto from the vet. We are constantly putting flea drops on our five cats but during the past year, with the heat, the fleas have been terrible despite our attempts to constantly vacuum and wash bedding. While Dutchie was at the vet, I thoroughly scrubbed her hutch and washed and dried her fleece carpet. She is eating hay and veggies again.
