Someone should start a cat food thread!

Feeding raw grosses me out too, unfortunately. Paul really wants ferrets one day, and raw meat is awesome for them, but the idea of giving them germy chicken, them eating it all messy and then running around all over me and the furniture is :bawl: I practically have a raw meat phobia (I use rubber gloves when I touch it, pathetic I know) so that just wouldn't work for me.

I feed my dog raw and origen. She was on Acana but they stopped bringing her kind into any pet store around here. I find it kinda gross feeding raw aswell since I was veggie for three years before I got to sick and had to add a bit of meat back into my diet. I found the only way I can door is if I take the packages of food that my raw food lady gives me and split it up right away into portion sizes and freeze them. In the morning I just take out a prewrapped little package and let it thaw in the fridge and then unwrap it and put it in her dish at dinner time. Since I have such a small dog it saves me money giving her raw because she needs less. The best thing about her being on raw is that her poop doesn't smell and her coat stays nice and shiny.

Started one about cats hope you enjoy :p

I feed part raw, I even lightly cook them meals. They love it. I switch between feeds, one of our guys have problems with grain but grainless food is so expensive and me with a crappy job and so many mouths to feed I do the best I can. I currently have them a 3 star food called Diamond. It is the only thing I have found so far that they do good on... 3 star or not.

Any one got any good dog treat recipes??
I find that bought treats are not very good, but i do want to reward my dog. I normally use pieces of fruit and veggies, carrots, brocolli, banana, peas etc. I think Luca likes banana better.

You could try ziwipeak. It is made in NZ and you can get it there. I believe it is a good product (a high end pet food store here sells it). I don't know about the price, but it would be way better than Iams or some of the other brands you can get.

Great food its about 100 bucksa bag. Kieth sell it in his shop also. I feed phoenix there treats buts that about all I can afford.

They are a great company
Oh I wanted to add thats here in texas.

But it is not even suposed to be sold in texas. So that could make the prices a little higher

$100 US dollar per bag!? Uhhhh....my dog better poop out some gold and live for 30 more years for that price .
:roflmao:Way too funny...!!!!

I cook for my dog some times.

Brown rice, or white w/e.
Lamb or beef or chicken
Veggies i.e carrots, peas, brocolli, etc
Half an egg or one sometimes.
Umm I grind egg shells not too much but around half a tea spoon, its good for dogs. Small piece of garlic to prevent fleas.

Think thats it
