I had to do a double check on the sex of our two- 4 month hollands. The doe was humping the buck for 10 minutes while the buck acted like the female, allowing it to happen.
Anyone ever see this behavior?
Thanks
Patrick

You're absolutely sure of the genders? If so, it's likely that it's just dominant behaviour. At around 4 months all those hormones kick in and dominance is established.

Yeah, bunnies of all genders hump to establish dominance once puberty hits. It can get aggressive if two unfixed bunnies can't agree on who's boss. It's different from mating humping, which I'm sure will also start happening soon now that your bunnies are 4 month old. Now is the time to neuter/spay, or you will either have warring bunnies or a very young pregnant bun very soon.

Thanks for the responses. We keep them separated other than exercise time in the yard. The plan is to save the mating till they are 6 months old.

They need to be fully separated. Rabbits can breed quite young and it only takes a few seconds for mating to happen. Intact rabbits of opposite sexes should never be together unless you want breeding.
