I saw the cutest collar (complete with abell) at the store the other day that would look perfect onSherman! :) (It was actually a cat collar, but Iwas going to "reconvert" it into a bunny collar.)

Do any of you put collars on your bunnies? If so, do they handle them well?

I never used a collar either. I don't think minewould like it because the fight with the harmess is putting it aroundthe neck. Once that trama is over mine don't seen to mind the rest. Ihave found a new harness for cats that does not go around their necksand some lik ethat better

I have one for Apollo and one for Athena. I onlyput it on them when I take them outside. I put an id tag on it. Thatway if God forbid they ever got away from me, it would make getting mybaby back easier and faster. As soon as I bring them in both theharness and collar come off.

Hi BunnyMommy,

Nope. Tucker doesn't have a collar; only a harness.

lol! Batbunny, Sherman has started doingthe same thing tome!!!

Don't you just love these bunnies!!! :D

Never though pulling on a bunny with a collarwould be too beneficial, and might choke, if I had to retrieve therabbit really quickly. A harness wouldn't choke.

Our rabbits wear hats without much of a problem. I do have toinstall ties with a slip tightener, to hold the hats on the head in theproper position.

Oh, Buck, I'm sorry. I should haveclarified. I mean a decorative collar, not one to attach aleash to.

P.S. A hat for Sherman is my next project. ;)

I am so glad I am not the only one who has boughta hat for my rabbit. My whole family made fun of me and and looked atme like I'd lost my mind lol.

I actually found a hat that is for small doggies. The hole were perfect for Apollo's ears.

There was a family that was there when I bought the hat and put it onhim. They are going to send me the pics. I'll post as soon as I getthem.

hehe bunnymommy-isnt it funnyhow they just plop themselves wherever they please? the other nightbatman did the same exact thing my dog does...my friend & iwere sitting on the couch &when she got up, thelittle turd promptly sprawls out in her place and wont budge, forcing her to find a seat elsewhere. sidney (the dog) is notorious fordoing that to everyone and if youre turning the covers over for bed, shell roll around in them untill shes comfortable smack dab in themiddle of the bed, so as no one else could possibly squeeze in next toher. mind you, shes a yorkie-weighing about 16lbs. but she knows how tothrow that small amount of weight around. well what am i talkingabout?? batman weighs TWO pounds & does the same darn thing!:p

I think our house is their warren and we are onlyaloud to live in it with them. They hate to be disturbed on the couch. One even boxed my husband when he changed the channels. Last night Iwent to lay down and put my head on the pillow and something moved andat first I was scared and looked inside and it was Bugaboo and Dueceysleeping

Flopsy wears a harness. Its red. He got used toit... after a while. But now I follow him around the neighborhood.Collars don't work as well as harnesses becuase they can more easilyget choughed out hanged... which isn't they most nicest thing to see.It would be sad if your bun jumped of a table and got hanged.

Bunnymommy,

If you're just planning on putting a collar on your rabbit for looks(or in some cases to find them!), it's ok. I don't think you meant towalk the rabbit with it. I have considered getting collars for my boysbecause my dad is going to fence off my whole yard and they can stillcrawl in places like under the deck. A bell and collar would definatelyhelp me to find them!

Laura, those are exactly my goals: Decoration and maybe identification should he get away.

The collar that I saw is soooooo cute. It would look great on him!

Would do you want to bet that he won'tagree?
