hi i have a netherland dwarf doe name snowball this was her first litter she started pulling hair i left her alone so she can be alone when i went out to see her it look like she was doing good she had 2 kits out they were dead she had 4 all together all dead they was not still born and she was eatting on themi don't know why this happen should i ever breed her agan i am not sure.:?

She might just be cleaning them.

Sometimes this happens on a first litter. Rabbits in the wild will eat the dead young to keep predators from finding the nest.

I would rebreed her since this was just her first litter. She probably will be fine next time.

Sorry you lost the babies.

If she had them and they were either dead when they were born or died shortly thereafter, it is their instinct to "clean up" anything that would endanger babies or herself. Just like a momma will clean up the placentas or her baby's poops, she will try to get rid of the dead babies.

How old is the doe?

I had this happen with me My suki had her first litter and she ate them all, I bred her again and she looked after the kits brilliantly, But they wondered out of the nest and died.
