Something that does get me to thinking, family history aside.. me.. then my next door neighbor has prostate cancer. then the other side of them has breast cancer, then the other side of them has breast cancer and their daughter has a brain tumor, and the other side of them has ovarian cancer and then the empty house and the other side of them the lady has pancreatic cancer..I am in the process of doing some research in this area...we have alot of refineries in the area. I am interested in statistics and stuff...
Wow, Zin, so many cases in such a close area does sound very strange - perhaps too much of a coincidence! Would be interesting to know if they were somehow connected ...

Zin, you'll be surprised what you find! Our lunch ladies at the kids' 1st school - three came down with breast cancer and the librarian.....

I still think it was something in the building - it was fairly new.

In our small town there has been like 10 cases of ALS(look it up :p) in the last 4 years, one being my uncle. His doctor told mom "I wouldn't drink the water!" then this year they told on the new about them testing the water and finding LOADS of presciption medicine chemical stuff in the water! Mom was like "Right there is the problem!". We drink our water from the fridge so it is filtered...still scarey since I only drink water.

We have a similar story at my college. I worked in the library for 4 years as a student worker (shelved books, working the circ desk, then I was the only student promoted to Interlibrary Loan). They remodelled the library and closed it off to most people EXCEPT the staff, who had to brave the remodelling to go fetch books for patrons (as there was no where else to store the books). All the books had been covered in dust when we'd go to get them. Turns out, the dust was asbestos from the remodelling.

About 6 months after the remodelling began, my friend Angie was diagnosed with uterine cancer. She underwent chemo and was fine. Alittle less than a yearlater, they found cervical & ovarian cancer, they did chemo and a hysterectomy. While this was going on, another woman at work was diagnosed with a large mass on her ovary and a mass on her lung...then ANOTHER female worker was diagnosed with masses in her breast. It was at that time as well, that I had developed ovarian cysts and endometriosis. I had a couple cysts PAINFULLY rupture. I had never had anything happen so quickly. We also were all having issues breathing. My breathing is better, but 2 other women developed asthma. Sadly, Angie did pass away but I think she had really gave up fighting. Sheis antrue inspiration and I still think about her on a daily basis. Her humor was second to none.:)She made working at the library tolerable if not fun.

As time goes on, we're all keeping in contact and ready to file a class action lawsuit if another incident of cancer surfaces. There has to be a connection. I mean, 4-5 women of different ages ranging from 20-70 all getting female reproductive and lung problems at the same time after the exposure from the remodelling? :XToo fishy to me.

I wish you luck with your Erin Brockovich'ing!

Still sending Good Vibes~~:hug2:~~ And so are my bunnies~~:bunny5Drizzle, :brownbunnyLatte, & :brown-bunnyHazelnut:groupparty:
