Took Daphnee to work today for herxrays, When i took her out of of her pet taxi, I noticed she hadsmuggled something with her, her wire ball.

Then she had her xrays, they are looking good, face looks good.

Daphnee and i went from work to house inspection on house we are buying, no suprizes, it went well.

Then we bought a bedroom set tonight.. set to deliver a day afterclosing, we can change this date any time we like, (the dilivery).

I should have pics soon. of daphnee, updates.

people don't want ramblings so there it is, plain boring, and full of spaces.

It can be hard for me to keep track of where i am in writing when igetlost in thought or get carried away chattering.I understand for some people things can behard to read, but one should realize, some things that are easy for some, are difficult for others. it's 2:42 am so excuse any thoughts that maysound bitter or what not.

Daphnee sounds like she's recovering marvelously! She's such a doll hanging on to that little toy :D I'm so glad to hearshe's doing so well (and will look forward to those pictures).

P.S. Congrats on the house ;)

Hearing that Daphnee smuggled her ball in with her made me laugh, I'm so glad she is doing well :) That's great news!

If I were her i'd be sure happy that you took me in :)

Good luck with all the house happenings :)

I don't thik any of your words are bitter

I enjoy ramblings :). Not that I think yours are. It's great about Daphnee and I love the fact she smuggled her ball in:D. She sounds like she's beginning to show her character. I hope shekeeps doing as well as she is so far.

Greatnews on the house, no surprises is always good, it musthave felt a step closer to order a bedroom set and know it should getto the new house pretty much as you do. Do you know moving day yet?

Keep us updated, as I wrote in your other Daphnee post I always read and enjoy anything you've written.

Aww Gab,

I'm so glad she's doing okay. She probably feels like she died and went to Heaven the day she met you.

Musings are fun, and thanks for breaking up your note as you did. It did help me. :)

If I were you, I'd let myself chatter all I want and then go back andthrow in a few returns here and there. Don't let it stop your 'flow' asyour writing.

Give Daph and all her sisters and brothers all my love.

:dude:

Thanks for the update.

She didn't want to lose it! How cute :)

How's her personality doing? Is she calming more? feeling better takingthe edge off? I know she has a bunnytude but seems very sweet as well :)

have to say I was in a mood, havingheard from someone in person, that she was told not to ask me anyrabbit questions untill AFTER work, because once I started talking I'dnever stop.

And reading a post just in general here, please use paragraphs, iknow it was a general statement, but when you see/hear 2 things in 1day, it sometimes just sets a mood....

i forgot to mention a couple of funny things. Not only did Daphneesmuggle her ball to work, but she was so ticked off about being thereand being in a small cage AGAIN(work cage is smaller than the one she'sbeen in at home for confinement).

She put her towel in the water, sopped it all up, and she tossed herfood dish, pellets all over the floor and the cage. She then shoved therest of her towel aside and sprawled on the newspaper.

Personality abounds in that one:p. And right at the moment, I don'tthink I could e happier with her results. I did have a bit ofa worry about her face, as the swelling had gone down, and thepenicilian that was placed into the pocket of her cheek wasasorbed, you could feel some funky bone changes. I askedabout that. The vet told me it was from where the abcess forced herbones to change around it. Interesting, it didn't eat any ofthe bone, but it forced it to push out and cause a bumpy growth likearea.

Did I mention, Daphnee hated the pills, she hated the taste of theinj given orally(that is one of thedrugs where the inj can begiven orally), she pawed her moth something terrible. So I compoundedher banana flavored baytril. She doesn't love it, but shetakes it the best.

And I noticed when I was turning her over for her xray,(mynose was right on her,) that she is taking on a bananasmell LOL....

I saidgee you smell like banana I wonder why?LOLCourse I have to say in future, any bunny who ishard to pill, I will compound their pills into yummy flavors...

When i had to pill martina, she was such a dream, put crushed pillin banana, or a bit of apple sauce, or any baby food and she gobbled itdown.. ahh why can't they all be so easy to medicate.

OH was gived an idea, you may or may not have heard of...One thevets mentioned it, course if your bunny gets wise to it, it wont work, but she said it worked for a lady she knew.

you could use a crasin or rasin, something like that, now this isfor if they are on an antibiotic like baytril that hte inj can be givenorally. inject the dose into a crasin and see if they will eat it, ordevide the dose up between 2 or 3 crasins and give it, with a nonebaytril crasin inbetween each. tHought some might have someuse for that info.

Are you talking about the liquid form of Baytril? We ended up calling the vet to get the pill form, as we were having toohard of a time giving it to Valuran. He did not like it, can't say as Iblame him. It smelled horrid, I can only imagine what it tastes like tothem.

so far *paws crossed* she is doing great. And I thought it was toofunny she took her toy with her. I set her pet taxi inside the cage andlet her get in, thats how I've been moving her while she's been on nopicking up, cage confine ment. And I guess when I wasn't looking shehas tossed or carried her ball in. because I was suprized and amused tofind it.

most the time i enjoy ramblings as well as rambling LOL we actuallybought a kitchen table the weekend before. We are not, looking to buyeverything new. it just so happens I've been looking for a kitchentable and chairs i like for awhile..

Our old table was free, can't beat that, but the chairs lacked insturdy, the dogs just bumed against them and over they go,not to mention, if i have to stand on a chair to get into the topcabinet for something, i don't want it wobbling and shaking...

hahah, I hear you on that one. I always needsomething to stand on so I can reach the top shelf. I joke that Imarried a footstool, as my husband is so tall he can just reach up andgrab things, even in the way back.

tried both the liquid and pills, finally crushed the pillsand made a slurry, you can also flavor the liquid ones aswell. We have a compounding kit at work. i's on the pricey side, butworth it.

i am not short, but our cealings are high, and there are 3 shelvesin my upper cabinets. they go all the way up to the cealing.. samething with the house we are buying, they go up to the cealing, but theywere both built in the 50's.

She has a hard time breathing to start with, she is a heavychain smoker who can't climb stairs w/o nearly dying. She has had aheart attack, and a lobe of her lung removed because of cancer and yetshe smokes like a chimney and drinks like a fish. Smokeing is whatkilled my grandfather, or a contributing factor, it is what caused manyhis problems, i'm very anti-smoking. The Dr has told her she is killingherself, and she doesn't care. I realize addictions are hardto give up, but I wont stand by while someone kills themselves. I justdon't go to see her, I don't want charcoaled lungs. However iam a shoulder for hubby.

It's hard when someone's being that stubbornlyself destructive and there's nothing you can do except help the peoplelike your husband who get hurt because of it. I just hope it's ok thistime at least. It must be so hard to be called out foryourmother.

He called, it sounds as though she may has a fluebug, and let herself get dehydrated. She was on her way to the hospitallast i heard via amblence. She is very weak and can't stand. Hubby iscoming home shortly, helping me take the compost bucket out, then he isgoing to the hospital.

Hubby is acting like he's not worried, however hesure had the cleaning bug this afternoon, working on keeping his mindbusy I know. As far as I know she has a flue bug that has herdehydrated and knocked down for the count. if any new news should ariseI'll be sure to post it.
