Such neat shots!!
Great pics!
Thank you!!! I was far away, so I didn't get all the shots I wanted, but I did my best with the lens I have. :) I did note that a few of the professional photographers there that day had the same camera body that I have. However, I was drooling over all of their awesome lenses all day.

Beautiful pictures!
It makes me nervous to see people ride without helmets though.
I'm taking my second semester of equestrian PE classes here at Cornell. I skipped over Basic I because I had some experience but I took Basic II last semester and now I'm in Intermediate I. We recently started jumping and I love it!
Even though we're over 18 so legally it wouldn't be required, Cornell mandates that everyone wear a helmet. It's nice to know it's there when I fall off.

One of my former riding students is in her first year of vet school at Cornell and did her under grad work there -she was on the equestrian team and loved a horse named Clifford there....

I always told my riding students, the Creator gives you one set of brains and it makes sense to protect them!:biggrin2: I always wear a helmet because you never know.

Minda - I love the shots - especially of the girl going one way and her Appy going the other - been there, done that! What a great day of girls enjoying their horses!

I agree on the muscles captured - the horse is a wonderful animal to draw or photograph or to work with.

i have to say, i love the horses.

That really surprises me! I've heard people say that bull FIGHTING as cruel and I do agree with that but Bull Riding and Bronc Riding ..... most of them know what is going on (they don't just grab a bull who's never been ridden) and they aren't hurt in any way.......

PLUS, those animals are probably taken better care of than most any that live on a farm!
