All new viruses come from animals. There are only a few, like Polio that are completly human, or at least humans are the only hosts left. Such a switchover is rather rare though. So it's very unlikely that it crosses another species barrier anytime soon.
And no, no dog was tested positive. They did find some virus on the snout of the dog of an infected owner, which only proves that the dog licked his owner. The dog was not infected at all.
Edit: Just found out I'm wrong, there actually was a dog which was mildly infected, but that doesn't make dogs a vector for the virus.
