Is it ok to put a small house fan in front of a rabbit's cage to cool them down ffrom the heat? I set the fan to a low speed so the rabbit's can feel the breeze.
It's only OK if there is a way that the rabbit can get away from the breeze if he wants too; for example have the fan blowing on one side of the cage so he can move to the other side if he wishes.
An oscillating fan is good if you have one but best not to turn the fan straight on the cage
here are some other tips to cool down a rabbit.
Tracy (Flashy) freezes bricks (they hold the cold) , then covers them with a towel or cloth so the rabbit doesn't get burned and lies them where the rabbit can choose to lie next to it ; you can also freeze liter pop bottles filled with water and place them in the cage in an area where the bun can choose to lie next to it. The rabbit always needs the option to be able to move away from the cold source.
some people freeze tiles and lay them in the bottom of one side of the cage so the bun can lie on a cold surface.
Here's an image of the kind of fan I put near the rabbit cage:
But yea, the fan is parallel to the cage so it blows right into it and if the rabbit wants to move away from the path of the breeze, it can do so...the cage is a big area where my rabbits can run around so they can move in and out of the breeze. Though most of the time, my rabbits love the breeze and lay down where the breeze is blowing.
