Constipation please help

hi guys, so I posted the other day about my 10 week old bunny being constipated. I took her to the vet yesterday who put her on a motility medication. But it’s been 24 hours and she’s still acting the same. She literally gets so constipated and will not poop before 3pm. She’ll be kind of lethargic and her stomach will be pretty hard. I’m giving her motility meds, critical care, simethecone, and fresh pineapple juice. It’s so weird because after 3pm she eats hay, poops completely normally, and isn’t lethargic at all. I don’t feed her anything at night that I don’t throughout the day—the literal only thing that changes is I don’t give her critical care or simethecone for 8 hours. Right now her poops are normal and she’s climbing all over me and doing binkies. The literal only explanations I can think of are a) she gets stressed out being alone and doesn’t eat all night or b) she obsessively grooms all night, eats a bunch of hair, and then doesn’t poop it out until I give her pineapple juice in the morning.

I’m at such a loss here and I don’t know what to do. She acts completely normally at night and I just don’t understand what messes up her system so bad in the morning. I have a follow up vet appointment for next Thursday but at this point I think I’ll just try to get her in earlier. If you have any advice at all please let me know, I’m so overwhelmed and I just want her to be ok.

She also appears to be drinking more water than normal but my apartment heater is literally set at 68 so I don’t think she could possibly be overheating

You can massage her stomach also all the different and new things can also make her stomach mess up.

I remember when my bunny was a kit, his droppings was like small black pepper corns. He got easily trouble with the stomach that’s how kits are. They are extremely sensitive to diet changes and environment. Is she eating the same pellets brand as the breeder fed her or is it something new?

Maybe she doesn’t like when it gets dark, myself have a doe that hate when it gets dark. So I always make sure she have a lamp on. Maybe she will feel better with a stuffed teddy to snuggle up to when she’s stressed or scared.

Before going to bed make sure she get fresh hay, to encourage her to eat. Often my bunnies love getting fresh hay and will start eating happily. Even though they still have hay they gotten from the morning and already filled up

Most important it’s that your bunny is eating a lot of hay and drink water.

I’ve noticed that too with mine—sometimes she won’t eat hay out of her box but if I put fresh hay on the floor she’s more interested. I do keep my shades open overnight but that’s a smart idea, I’ll try leaving one of my lights on tonight

Does this work better for you than critical care? I legit ordered it the second I saw your response bc at this point I’m just so desperate for something to work... fresh pineapple juice just doesn’t seem to be doing enough and I think a combo of naturally shedding a lot right now /over grooming due to stress is really hurting my sweet Peach right now. Thank you again for advice. I have a vet recheck appt for next week but was really hoping the motility meds would have done more.

I have never had ti use critical care. I started using this because he had less poops and they were small. Also lots of ones with hair. Charlie is a Holland lop so he is pretty furry. You dose them by weight and symptom so I usually give him 2 day. I notice when I give them the poop increases. I thought it only took a day or 2 to notice the difference but it says it can be longer. He loves them so he thinks they are treats. It's worth a try!

Try giving ur bunny sanko rabbit hairball relief if you suspect any hairball/woolblock. My bunny had this similar symptoms and it turned out to be hairball.
