Pink's blood-work results arrived today and indicate nothing abnormal. (The vet compared them to Pink's two previous blood-work results from 2008 and 2010.)
For now, I will observe Pink's food/water consumption and weight. (I'll weigh him weekly for a while to see how his weight fluctuates.) I'm still concerned that he lost nearly 1 lb. without any dietary changes.
I've since increased his pellet ration to 6 Tbsp. from 5 Tbsp. I realize that amount is lower than what many people might feed a bun his size; I'm considering slowly increasing the quantity, but he's been passing more visible fur since the increase to 6 Tbsp.--and he's not officially shedding right now.
