Is his hair ringed down through it? kinda looks like a broken castor maybe?

I thought that cause it is pretty reddish. I will get better pictures tomorrow and check that.

Yep, it looks like broken castor to me. Tips of some hairs look black.. Bo has that. Then he has that cute orangy color with brownish behind his ears.....

Castor and Chesnut are the same color genetically

he looks chestnut/agouti to me, but i had a mini lop buck, Bo, that was a broken agouti and looked like that, i've never had a castor(only seen those in mini rex) look quite like that.

Yeah he looks like chestnut agouti to me, too.
Castor would be more of an orangey-brown.

They are the same genetically. There are many variations to the color. Some are more dark and some are more brassy looking. It all depends on the width of the bands.
