Cleaning Scent Gland area

I have an XL rabbit and he has some pretty hard build up around his scent glands under his tail. is there a good and safe way to clean it?

we use unscented baby wipes and our finger to clear them.

I'll give that a try. Its just pretty packed so I'm worried the clearing process will be uncomfortable for him.

I dip a q-tip in baby oil and use that (or multiples of that) to clean it out. Oil seems to be pretty helpful for getting the crustiness to detach from the skin.

Small world. Some of our family still lives in Sunnyvale. We used to live in Tracy and moved here 2 1/2 years ago. Little warmer and sunnier than the Bay Area.

eww i watched that video, and that is GROSS! i know i may have to do it sometime though, does that happen to every bunny? i have never done that before, but after watching that video i went and looked at my bunnies and thankfully they were all good:yuck

My bunnies had only a tiny bit of build up and it stank! I cannot imagine how much it reeked with all that black waxy stuff in that bunny! EEP!
