Tonight while Gus was running around the house he started to

circle my feet, much like a cat does to get attention. Does anyone know if this

is a way of him trying to be the more dominant? Once the circling started he

then began to make the grunting noise ( I think its a mating call type of

thing, hes not neutered) , which makes me think it might have something to do

with dominance.

Are rabbits like dogs where you have to be alpha to get them

to listen?

It means he loves you!!!

Circling and grunting/humming is a buns love dance he will do with a female he is interested in mating with.

Neutering will help relieve his sexual frustration and save your feet from being the unwanted object of his advances...

Well now lets not get her hopes up... he may be wanting to have an affair with her socks!!It might be you he is in love with, but if you had on really sexy socks.... beware!!

I would reccommend getting him neutered. Save the socks!

Kind of...

There are buns that need to make it clear that they are the alpha....... with you as well as with other buns.

As for the listening part......
I have a few buns that listen and interact with me.....And then there are the ones that only listen if there's something in it for them.

Gus sounds like our Benji.
We had a stuffie that never survived his "loving"

Neutering calmed Benji down considerably.
He had become very aggressive, his litter habits were non existant, and he had this jump-spin-n-spray thing going on.
About 2 months after neutering he was like Mr. Chauncy Proper bun. I was convinced they had switched him at the vet.

Well idk if its my socks, i hate to say it but its probably just me, he just likes my smell i guess. I feel bad neutering him, if i was male i would be p*ssed if i woke up without 'them'. He has a 'girlfriend' in his cage- its a slipper that looks just like a real rabbit, a friend got it for me as a joke and he fell in love with it.He's never sprayed anything, if that starts im taking him in that day and getting it done!!!!This might be horriable but im a colllege student and all my guy friends love watching him hump, hes quite the entertainment from time to time.haha, my boyfriend jokes that im just so hot that i turn on more than humans (im also a model) .

I would think of it this way:

It's not a matter of missing his balls, it's a matter of not living every second of everyday being super horny and not having any way of relieving that frustration. He can only take so much out on his poor "friend".

Rabbits have a huge sex drive, and it will take over his life. Getting him neutered will be doing him a favour, as he will be able to live his life with out the driving sex urges and be able to enjoy life better.
