Make sure they have fat round bellies in themorning (like they swallowed a ping pong ball) to insure they'veeaten. Make sure they stay in the nest...and for moreinformation, check out the Cheat Sheet in the Top Picks post fromConception to Weaning. There's alot of goodinformation in there.

How is Gracie doing?

Rainbows!

Gracie is jumping and binkying all over my bedroom. I think she was glad to get out of the cage!

I do have a concern tho.. She was going by the babies and one moved andshe growled. I am not sure if it startled her orsomething. Is there any behaviour that I should be watchingfor?

Ohmy gosh. What a surprise. Congratualtions Grandma. They are adorablelittle wigglies. I'm sorry this happened to you but at leastnowyou know why she was acting like she was. PLus I know youand Gracie will take awesome care of those cuties.

oh my goodness!!!!!!! congrats with thewigglies!!!!!!!!! I cant wait to see pictures as they grow up!......also this may explain why your attempts at bonding Cleo andGracie havent been going well lately!

First time motherstend to spook easily , just watch foraggressive behavior once she is backwith them , she should befine once she is used to them .If she was going to harm themhon she would have done it by now .

Thanks All

Gypsy thanks you too, that makes me feel a lot better.

I really hate to think how I am gonna feel when my daughter decides to have a baby!

Oh wow...only four??? (just kidding).

You're so lucky - I LOVE new babies. Ours are a little over 4weeks old now - some are almost 5 weeks old - and they're so muchfun. One little baby thumped at me today because I was tryingto pick it up. WARNING: Babies (once they startrunning) are faster than their mamas...(so make sure you have more thana t-shirt on when you chase them??).

Seriously though - here's a website I love and I go there to read and reread the information:

http://www.brightsidewoolies.com/articles/breeding_tips/tips_breeding.htm

You can make a nestbox out of a shoebox if needed - depending upon howbig Gracie is. If she appears to be aggressive, you can takethem out and give them to her once or twice a day to nurse...but she'sprobably going to be fine. Just check daily to make surethey're being fed.

We held ours every day - even from day one. We wanted them tobecome used to OUR smell and to become socialized to humans. Now that they're 4 weeks old - we have no regrets about it and would doit again.

Well I am calmed down now, well sortof. Was finally able to eat something about an hourago. They all look so much alike, I took markers and put acolour dot in their ears, my husband thinks I am nuts. Hedoes not even want to look at them for fear of getting attached andthen we have to give them away. So you will all have to bearwith me with updates and reports LOL

Thanks forall the congrats!

Susan
