I have just spoken to B&Q customer services and the girl there said that they werent in stores yet but it looks like a new product so to give it another couple of weeks.

She did say that the cost was £9.99 :happyrabbit:Which is fantastic because I want 3 boxes to make 2 cages for my buns as they live in 2 houses

So turns out B&Q cannot get them to me after all, even though I gave them £69 for three boxes. :grumpy: Will get the money back, but this is so frustrating. :(

What reason did they give you?
First off - have you still got your receipt? They have entered into a contract with you to provide this grids, and we know the suppliers will have them available in the near future, if not now, so there is no reason that they can't get hold of them for you.

If you still have your receipt - don't accept a refund too easy. Argue your case - you KNOW these grids are going to be available, they accepted your money, you ordered in good faith etc etc.

They tried fobbing me off that they weren't available and I stood my ground with them, and they phoned this week so I'm hoping its being sorted.

Don't give up - email head office if you have to. Don't let them fob you off. They told you they could get them, and prevented you from ordering them elsewhere.

Your receipt is a contract stating they must provide the goods, and there is NO reason why they can't.

:wave:B&Q had told me that they wouldn't be able to get me the grids at all, even though I paid. (Got a refund of course).

But this morning they called me and said they have them ready for me to collect.:D

I'm not sure if that means they have them on the shelves, or have managed to order them in for me, but I'll be heading down there tomorow or Sunday to pick them up. :D

Hopefully this means everyone else that needs them will be able to get them too. :bunnydance:

Thanks for the heads up matey! I just went and called B&Q to find out what the hell they are doing with my cubes, and the new ones are live on their system, so anyone wanting them - get them ordered NOW before they mess it up again.
The manager is putting my order in again, and I might, if I'm lucky, get them by Christmas. What a rubbish company they are.

Grrr.

I was so shocked when they called - I'd completely given up hope, especially since they actually told us we couldn't get them. Dawn was going to ship me some next week , depending on how much it would cost.

My dad might take me this evening to get them, in case they sell them on. :p Which actually wouldn't surpsie me a bit - you're right, they are rubbish. :rollseyes

I really hope you can get them soon too! :goodluck

I'm looking at cages right now for inspiration.;)

Yup! :biggrin2: I stayed up til 1 o'clock making it last night ( it kept going wrong :grumpy:). But I bought far too many - didn't even open my third box. :?

Am looking for my USB cable for my camera now. :)

I am sooooooooooooo pleased you got your cubes Michela!!!

Im going to ring B&Q tomorrow and see if I can track some down for us because we are hoping it wont be long before Grace and Louis are bonded and also Grace REALLY needs a bigger cage, she's grown into such a lovely gorgeous big girl

02380 256256 B&Q - head office

I spole to B&Q and was told that they are only being stocked currently in 2 tores in IRELAND -- very helpful to those of us in dear old blighty

I spoke to Slemka and they said that B&Q have just bought a whole batch load of them for all stores and they are talking rubbish -- very helpful!

So off I go BACK to B&Q --- the next girl VERY helpful, found them, indicated that the other woman was from Mars and is getting the store to call me to take an order because at present they are ORDER ONLY

So the moral of the story is -- if you want them call or go into your local store and give them the product number posted by Munchkin and order them in.

I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Cant wait to get them and make my bunnies a very happy new home --- the next thing to decide is whether to put them in TOGETHER or make a wall for the time being.

Good for you Bambi - half the staff...no, 85% of B&Q staff, are absolutely rubbish, but luckily there are a few who get the job done in the end.

My cubes FINALLY arrived this morning - one of the girls phoned to arrange delivery. I said I no longer trust them to do anything without messing it up, so would pick them up personally on my way home from work. Got them.

VERY VERY HAPPY!!!!! :dude::biggrin2::dude:

That's GREAT news.

I am now MORE confused - had another phone call from B&Q today and the guy left me a voicemail message. In it he said that the price for the cubes was going to be £22+ and yet I was originally told that they were going to be £9.99!

How much did you girls pay for yours?

I paid for mine back in May when they were on offer - they were 9.99, but Michaela paid £22 for hers I believe as it's a new line.

Hi guys,

This thread is a little old now and may be irrelevant, so forgive me if I'm telling you old news!

We'd been looking for these for quite some time, and my boyfriendemailed B&Q head office with the code number that's mentioned earlier on in this thread (5015772193169). They replied saying that they no longer stocked that item but gave him the number for the manufacturer to see if they knew anywhere else we could get them...

Well! My boyfriend called them and they said that they still supply B&Q, and delivered thousands to them in the past couple of months, however the code number has changed! So we called a local store (Cribbs Causeway in Bristol) and they said they had 8 in stock.

We went along this evening and there were about 20-30 boxes!! They were £22.98 each, the 6-cube system so you get 24 panels and 28 connectors.

The barcode number on the boxis 5015772198409

The part number that Slemcka gave us is 27745748

Hope this helps someone! We got 2 boxes so I'm off to design mine now, yay! Oh and I can't take any of the credit for this whatsoever, it was all the hard work of my boyfriend who told me to make sure I mentioned him!
