His name is Rufus. He has been in rescue for over a year. I'll be picking him up on Saturday. Here are a few photos I took of him at the shelter about a year ago:

Oh wow!! Rufus is such a handsome boy!!!! :D

He'll find a home in NO TIME with that handsome face! :)

My congrats to you in having a new foster baby to take care of! :D

He has got such big eyes! Good job taking him in.

You mean you knew this rabbit a year ago, and you didn't tell us about it. :D

Congratulations, Rufus is a lucky bunny to move in with you.

CRAZY!! .... That not one has adopted him yet. His pretty blue eyes are stunning. I want a Blue Eyed bun bun.

Actually Rufus was "adopted" twice in the last year. The first couple that adopted him ended up bringing him back for some some reason I can't remember. Then he was adopted by a family that already had a rabbit, but their rabbit just didn't get along with Rufus. Rufus was fine with the other rabbit, but the family's first rabbit just didn't like Rufus. The girl that runs the rabbit department at Animal Friends has had him at her house as a foster and she says he just does not like being at the shelter. Not really sure what that means but she was happy that I'm able to take him, since she fosters about 15 other rabbits and I'll be able to give him a little more personal attention than she can.

We are actually having a telethon Saturday at Animal Friends where we'll put Rufus and all the other shelter bunnies on tv, so who knows, maybe someone will see him on tv and want to adopt him. While I love Rufus a lot, I'd still rather see him go to a home where he can be spoiled even more than I can. Also I'll be able to take him to some of the outside the shelter events that we get invited to do. And if someone adopts Rufus, there a mucho other rabbits in the area that need foster homes.

I just brought Rufus home. I gotta run to the pet store and get some supplies for him. Hopefully I'll have me photos soon. I know he's all tired out from all the attention he got at the telethon.:colors:

Sorry folks, but there won't be any photos today because I found the battery in my digital camera was dead this morning,so we'll have to wait a few hours till it charges up. I was a little scared because Rufus didn't drink any water from his bottle yesterday, but he finally did drink some around 11 this morning. He still isn't eating any of the pellets that the rest of my boys eat. However he is nibbling on hay so I think he'll be ok in that regard. They ended up not putting him on tv yesterday because he was on tv last year. It's hard to say right now how successful the telethon will be in getting the other bunnies adopted, but time will tell. There was certainly a lot of interest in the bunnies among the folks that did visit the shelter for the telethon yesterday, so you never know. I'll be taking Dant back to the vets tomorrow for another try at his neuter, so hopefully that will go well.

Rufus finally ate some pellets overnight. I guess he just needed to get settled into his new environment. I'll try to take some photos tonight after I bring Dant home from the vets.
