bored bunny? I think so. Timmy is an outdoor bunny who loves attention. Some times he needs more stimulation when I'm away and can't play with him. What are good ideas of bunny toys to keep him occupied? All ideas appreciated. Thanx in advance. :)

Old phone books, toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls cut in half. You can stuff hay in toilet paper rolls or cut them into balls, baby key rings. Rural King has a hay ball for about $7 has a bell on it and one of my rabbits likes to ring the bell the other likes to throw it around, dig box, I like to give them wood shims (untreated of course), they are 98 cents a bundle, I use pine, don't get any cedar.

thanks for all the ideas and pics. he is an outdoor rabbit so I would prefer toys that would not get ruined in the rain (ie. disintegrate). any ideas for that?

He should be in an enclosure that protects him from the rain, I have mine outside in wire cages but they have plywood and a tarp to keep them dry, so if the bun stays dry then the toys will be ok. The wood will be fine if it gets wet, it will dry quickly.

he does have a hutch-like structure that protects him from the elements but I was thinking of putting some toys in his run (that section does not have a tarp or anything to keep things dry.) that's where he spends the most time... when it rains he goes into the protected section.

I got Dortmund these balls made out of wicker. I put one in his cage and in the middle of the night I heard scrunch scrunch scrunch. In the morning the ball was gone. So I though, the little guy must really like these wicker balls. Every day I would give him a ball, every morning or two the ball would disappear. I bought a bunch more balls, and they all went missing.

A couple days ago I opened up his hiding spot, and low and behold there were about 14 wicker balls that the little freak had been hoarding for some reason. Not sure what he was planning to do with them.

Baby rattles that are hard plastic but light. I made tossing toys with a single baby link and large O beads. Cat jingle balls/wiffle balls. Crestie005.jpegimages.jpeg

You can also give him a relatively big paper bag- just put it on the ground to see how he reacts. Musti likes to stomp it flat to the ground and then tear it apart from outside, after opening the bottom, it becomes a tunnel and if hay is stuffed in with treats at the bottom, he will relentlessly dig to get the treats. Wooden pet puzzles could also be a way to go(well i don't have any since they are not sold in estonia)

My bun bun loves this ball. I put her pellets in it and she will go to town! It unscrews, you lift out the divider and fill with their pellets for the day. You can even adjust how large the opening is. I made it pretty small once Pickles got the hang of it. 03612ABF-84A5-4714-9173-7DEA40D5CC64.png
