Someone please help! I got my bunny back in August. He is about 6 months old and so far everything is going really well! He is my first bunny so I've been relying heavily on lots of research and knowledge of two of my coworkers who have has bunnies before for help. However. I am stumped with this most recent issue we are having.

Almost immediately after getting Thumper I liter box trained him. However, within the last two weeks or so he has started using the bathroom in the corner on the opposite end of the cage. I have tried moving his liter box to this new corner only to have him start using the original corner. It was then suggested to me to try and move his hay ball closer to the liter box as a incentive for him to go to that corner. But alas, nothing has worked.

Any input or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

He is not neutered yet. We have an appointment on Friday the 8th to set that up and make sure he is well over all! He only gets the hay ball, nothing more and I fill it about once a day when he empties it. I considered two litter boxes but I was worried it would take up too much of his space. This is his current set up (it was in the corner by the feeder until he started using this one).

Don't think I am being rude about any of this, but a LOT of this is wrong. And I'm not blaming you but pet stores and others give bad advice.
1. if you can get him out of this small cage and into a larger dog crate or playpen that would be great, unless you are giving him free roam time then this cage is ok.
2. Get rid of all the bedding in there. It confuses him on where to go to the potty at and that looks like pine shavings which are extremely toxic to rabbits.
3. He needs a bigger litter box especially if you can move him into a dog crate or a playpen, cat litterboxes are the best. I don't know what type of litter you are using but I personally recommend horse stall pellets, for price 40lbs for $6 and it absorbs urine and odor extremely well.
4. I don't see any water but a bottle or a heavy ceramic bowl will do nicely.
5. The MOST IMPORTANT thing is he needs wayyyyyy more hay than that. Hay needs to be 80% of their diet and they need as much hay as big as they are every day. Meaning the reason why he is not eating that much is that (it looked like he had a full feeder of pellets) this is ok under 6 months but after they only need 1/2 cup max per day for every 5 pounds of rabbit.
