My bunny is 6 weeks old and eat healthy greens and drink water from a bowl regularly. But she seem to like to lick me. At first I thought she is not getting enough water, but greens have alot of moisture and I do see her drinking from her bowl. I also thought that she might want to have a drink of milk, but she pulls back like a child that have to get medicine. She definetely does not want to drink milk any more.

Why would she like to lick me? Is it maybe just bunny love or is she shorting something?

She is licking you because she is grooming you. That's what bunnies do. And her being so young when you got her, she only knows you and has become very attached to you.

She's not missing anything in her diet by licking you. She's just showing affection.

We all strive for this affectionate act from our bunnies. And when it happens, it's wonderful.

Thank you so much, I was starting to worry. She even started licking my husband and he doesn't appreciate it that much. It's actually funny now that I think about it, everytime she licks him he put her down at the water bowl and begs her to drink something, she just looks at him and hops away, propably thinking that he is crazy :p

Well that's good that she is attached to both of you. Tell your husband there's nothing wrong, that she's just saying "Hi, I really like you." And that the rest of us bunny lovers would give their left arm to get that reaction from their bunny.

Ok so it's been really awesome and so cute. But since I allowed her to lick my hands, it sometimes end with a bite! Luckily there has been no bleeding but that nip is defenately not funny and a bit painfull...
What now???

Bunnies lick and nip as a part of grooming. When she nips react with a cry or EEKKK, making a sound so it gets her attention. And then say no. You don't want to stop the licking with is her grooming you. You just want to stop the nip grooming.

She's young so you can stop this type of grooming. Found out "Mr. Attitude" was doing the same thing. I thought it was agression, when it was only a type of grooming.

Yeah it's part of the grooming. Most animals will groom with a little bit of a nibble. Like cats and dogs. I don't mind Harvey doing it, since he doesn't do it very often and he doesn't mean it in a bad way.

The cats however are not allowed to bite, even if it's a love bite, seeing as they can do more damage.

I think it means that your bunny is planning on eating you when he gets big enough. Mine does the same thing. He also nibbles at my clothing when I hold him. It's adorable!:hearts:

Your bunny loves you. Sweetie licks me all the time, especially after I calm her down from being scared and I help her feel better. She is telling me "thank you I feel better now."

The nipping can be love nips.

Oh wait until you get bunny kisses on the nose. I just melt when Sweetie does give me bunny kisses on my nose.
