Help. I have a one year old bunny and a 2 month old bunny. I've had the older one for a few months and the baby for a week. I've had their cages side by side for a week now and started bonding them today. They got along GREAT, NO FIGHTING what so ever. They both even laid on their sides. So we put them in the same cage and after about 10 minutes the older one started humping the baby. Hubs don't want to get them neutered so we can have kits. Should I try bonding them more or does this just need to run its coarse. It was literally non stop once it started, I had to put them in different cages.

You want to breed! It's a really bad idea if your not registered your just creating more bunnies that will possibly end up in a shelter

MC Bunnies is right. If you are not breeding to better the breed, you should not be breeding at all.
Breeding for money or the experience are not good reasons to breed rabbits.

If you are trying to bond them, get them spayed/ neutered.

Spaying and neutering not only stops breeding, it also prevents unwanted behaviours too.

I've also heard that a bonding doesn't really count if the bunnies are not adults.

I am not that experienced with bonding rabbits as I have only bonded one pair, but I am sure someone who has more knowledge will help :)

Hope I helped a little :D I don't mean to sound rude, but far too many rabbits in shelters need homes. Breeding certainly doesn't help this issue.

Good luck :)

Yes, everyone else abody above me is right.... if youre not a registered breeder don't breed..the bunnie could end up in the shelter, in the hands of a bunny slaughter, in horrible living conditions!! Please DONT breed for the sake of the buns!! sorry if I was rude but I reay want buns to have a happy worry free life!!

Wait till they are around they are adults or teens and bond them then, after you Spray or neuter

You are not going to be able to keep them together if neither is fixed. The older one has one thing in mind and probably will just traumatize the younger one, who is WAY too young to breed. I assume the younger one is a female?
