bunny attacking me since we brought home a new bunny

We've had a dwarf hotot bunny since July of last year. She is 1 yr old now and spayed. She loves us and is very well behaved and affectionate. She kisses us nonstop. We wanted to try to give her a friend so we got a new bunny today. It is a mini satin, 3 months old and not spayed/neutered. I know we should not try to bond them yet since the new one is so young and not fixed yet, but since we brought the new bunny into our apartment our dwarf hotot has been attacking me. I was the one to physically bring the bunny in and she has bit me 3 times already. She's never bit before and she's only doing it to me, not my boyfriend. I don't know what to do. We want to keep the new bunny and wait till it is old enough to bond with the one we have already but I'm scared of my bunny now! She literally came to me and just bit me out of nowhere. Is she going to hate me forever??

Since you brought the new bun in is it possible you still have the new buns scent on you?

i didn't think of that. i thought she was mad at me for bringing in a new bun. i'll try taking a shower and let her calm down over night and see what happens tomorrow.

I'm quite sure that the problem is you smelled like the new rabbit and her natural instincts of defending her territory kicked in.
Hopefully showering and changing clothes will solve the problem.

I'm glad she is back to normal humans often forget that animals are so scent-oriented because we aren't ourselves (well, not to such an extreme degree)

yea when it comes time to bond them i'm sure we're going to be tough. have any tips??
