Now that the bunnies go outside for an hour aday in the morning (sometimes two hours)....they're eating grassoutside (no chemical treatments on it). I guess they must beeating quite a bit - because they aren't eating as much hay orpellets...especially pellets.

I'm reducing their treats for now ~ for a bit anyway ~ to get them toeat their pellets. But I'm wondering if I should be concerned.

They're definitely going to the bathroom just fine - no diaherrea - and lots of poops.

P.S. It's pretty much all the bunnies - not just one or two.

If they're eating, I won't worry toomuch about their pellets. I find Pebbles will eat her pelletsonly in the morning and late at night when I put her back into her cage.

Thats the only time I give her pellets anyways...... :demandfood:

my bunnies go through phases where they'llgobble up all their pellets, and then have days where they barely touch'em.. and they dont have a lot of diet changes..same stuff pretty muchevery day

i agree with Pet_Bunny. Pernod and Perry haveaccess to the garden and grass and eat less pellets then, and I onlygive them in the morning and at bedtime too. I know there is a lot ofdiscussion about diet in general, but hay and grass are probably themost natural things for rabbits to eat anyway.- Jan

Agree with all the above. Same-same here with our free rangers. I monitor weight monthly and note that the crew with tighten and tone up over spring and summer. This year, though, I am experimenting with more natural foods and using pellets as the "fillers" as opposed to the other way around.

Even at that, grass seems to be preferred over some of the other natural fruits and lettuces. That's what they'd be doing in nature.
