If a rabbit has had litters before are they still aloud to show? The doe and the buck?

My female has had 2 litters but my male has not fathered any...

Is there anything you have to do right after the mother is bred or doyou need to wait intill the 28th day (to give her the nest box andstuff)?

No, they can have litters and still be shown, aslong as they are in good condition. I would not reccommend showing arabbit that is currently pregnant or raising a litter though, but thatis just my opinion.

You wait until 28th day to put in the nestbox, or if she starts building earlier, it can be given then.

Yeah, well I wanted to show Leo, but first I needto find a tattooer. My new mini-rex is pregnant andwe believeshe was bred3 days ago. I was just wondering if before the28th day do I need to do anything (change food, extra water, vitamins). Thanks for the help.

So, if a rabbit pees after getting mated she isdefinetly not pregnant? Because as soon as I put bell back in the cage, she went pee and then gave me a look like "hah I beat you!"! So shouldI rebreed her or wait intill I am positive the she did not take?

No, this doe is 2 yrs old. She has had 2 littersand the first died but the second was healthy. She is healthy. I heardthat the genital area is suppoesed to be pink before breeding. Is thisright or can it be red? I have also heard if it is red she has adiease. I can post a picture of her. I will try.

This is the mommy, Her name is Bell!

If peeing does have something to do withbreeding, then I have a doe that will never get pregnant because if youstick her witha buck she will immediatly pee after breedingtakes place. I put her back with the buck today and when I put her backinhercage she went pee again! I really hope thebreeding took because I bought her as a purebred breeding couple and Iwould really hate if she wont get pregnant... Though I will still keepher, I just will have to get another breeding mini-rex doe.

The californian-english spot breeders down theroad have had numerous does not have litters because of peeing rightafter mating, it does something to flush it out or something, everytimeone of their does peed after mating, they never conceived.

My bunny still has trusting issues... Now since Ihave bred her I am worried about taking her out of the cage because itscares her to be around other people... But, I don't want to leave herin there while she is pregnant. I took her out today but am now worriedabout her absorbing the babies since she got scared when I tried to gether back in her cage.

Should I put her cage inside since she is pregnant? It is not cold, today it was about 75-80 degrees F. The wind was blowing nicely though.

Um, bunnylover, i know it's kind of too late forthis advice but, you really should've thought all this throughbefore breeding her. You should've waited until she was tame andused to humans, then bred her.

You can take her in now, or wait until a week or two before kindlingdate. But, if she's ask scared as you describe, a complete change ofscenery may not be the best thing.:?

Have you ever heard of a falsepregnancy? Is it true that occasionally females will THINKthey are pregnant and make a nest & rip their fur out, all tofind out she's not really pregnant?
