Yep, it is called chinning and it is your rabbits way of marking territory, so if he chins you you are his!

Even if you can't afford all four of them you could at least fix themale that may calm down your does as well. Check with your animalshelter, sometimes they will give assistance with altering your animals.

That is what is known as a dewlap...it is not a problem for your rabbit unless your bun is over-weight.

It's a dewlap, and it's perfectly normal. This is a Holland doe also.

you are welcomed to ask anything you wouldlike! :) alright, heres the story, i was walkingaround the pet store and saw this tiny little black and white bunny, his name is lucky now he is 1 year and 2 months. ... that was in dec.then in oct of the fallowing year i wanted another one because lucky hewas lonly, so i bought cammertoes, she s presently about 8-9 months oldI think?... Then i went to a petstore that just opened up in dec. ofthis year.. and for two months this rabbit sat in the pet store and noone would buy it cause it was bigger then the rest and kind of ugly, and i loved her, so i bought her and her name is blue. Thenjust last weekend, my sister picked up the baby sammie, and she isabout 6 weeks old. They are all in seperate cages. and Lucky, the boy gets along with all of em. But all the femalesdont. so 1year, 9 months, 6months and 6-8 weeks.Thats about it! why ? aay-

also.. if they do get into fights with each other, they wont hurt each other too badd will they?

The one that is grabbing on and 'humping' is showing dominance. In other words she is telling her that she is the boss and can not bepushed around. Make sure you watch them when they are out and splitthem when they start to fight. It takes time and patience. The othergirl, the one hiding, doesn't like the 'humping' and is trying to getaway by hiding.

Rabbits fighting can carry on until one isseriously wounded and unable to continue, or death. In theformer case, be prepared for vet bills, in the latter be prepared for aburial place.

As rabbits approach puberty the fighting, mounting and agressiveness tends to increase in intensity unless neutered.

If no bun has gotten pregnant yet, and your male is sixmonths old or more, I would suggest insuring he is, in fact, a buck.

Find bonding information at:http://www.mybunnies.com/bonding.htm

Were you aware of the important ofspaying/neutering and how expensive everything can be before you gotthese 4 rabbits? Do you pay for the vet bills or does someoneelse?

Yes I do pay for the vet bills, and i work hardfor them, considering that I work 40 hrs aweek and go to school 15hours aweek. So yes, I do pay for the bills. Secondly, I wastold to get them fixed and I had planned on getting the male, butsupposetly I wouldnt be able to show him if I did, which I think hesbeautiful enough to show. Also, I wanted to raise little onesof my own... Which I think one is prego now, so I can and will get themall fixed its just a matter of time, plus I think two out of four aretoo little yet- I guess it all started because lucky my first rabbitlooked so lonly, so I had to get him a friend and it all went fromthere, but i would take care of my kids, I actually have a credit cardjust for my bunnies- incase something happens that they need immediateattention. Plus my mother and father are both doctors, so -my little baby got hurt the other day and they fixed her up, andshes healing nicely. So, i do believe Ihave it under control.. I will admit i dont know EVERYTHING there isneeded to know, but life is a lesson take what your given.thanks - aay

A lot of people here get concerned over unwanted, mixed breed litters of kits.

There are way too many rabbits who need homes that are in sheltersnow. People get them on a whim, don't like the care theyneed, or their personality and behavior and toss them aside.

Many are found outside having been dumped to fend for themselves.

Seriously think before breeding for the sake of having baby bunnies toplay with. You can go visit a reputable breeder's farm and dothat without bringing more rabbits into the world to end up in ashelter or worse, euthanized, neglected or abused.

Hey Bo- thanks for the concern, andI do agree, but I have numerous people who would love to adapt some babies theyjust love my bunners, and ... i probably would end up keeping most ofthem, cause I am stupid but I love em, and I spend a LOT of time withthem. each and everyone ... plus my whole family participates, mygrandma, feeds them when I am at work, and my little sister changes thewater bottles at night, its cute, they are our children basically.(SMILE)

That's the main thing...... you know they will have good homes when they are ready!

I have found that bunnies really are a wonderful pet for everyone inthe family! (well except the husbands who don't like them! lol)

My kids, my friends, sis, nieces, mom, etc., we all love Bo andeveryone loves to play with him, feed him, etc., so he's very veryloved and cared for.

Haha thanks, i try to be dedicated haha, they arelike little monsters, little 3 year olds running around getting intoeverything, instead of ... baby proofing my house, i have to rabbitproof it, haha... Um, but u are SO RIGHT about the husband, well myfather, He complains ALL THE TIME, about the smell, but no one else cansmell anything. How often do u guys change your cages? i ve also heardthat the cedar pine is bad for them, but the other makes the smellworse, any suggestions for less pee smell, and bedding? thanks aay

I raise my rabbits all alone too. My family thinks I am nutsfor wanting more animals. The only help I get from them is money frommy mom, since I am only 13. But I love to play with them and watchtheir funny antics, even if they won't come near me!:?Ohwell, I still love them!
