Okay, so is the consensus on here that most rabbits with a respiratory infection don't pass it on to their bonded companion?

I would like to bond my rabbit with an infection (not pastuerella, the vet was able to rule it out) to my other rabbits as long as he is not contagious.

How long has your bun had an URI and is it being treated? Is it pneumonia or bronchitis or in the nasal passage?

A lot of it just depends on what is causing the infection. My boy Max had bronchitis that was never passed on to his buddy, Basil. But Basil has always been healthy so it doesnt surprise me.

I would just be very cautious before bonding them. Think things through and determine if you can afford care for the other if he developsURI as well. Another thing to consider is how stressful will bonding be for your sick bun? It could make things worse for him if he's thrown into a stressful situation.

Just a few things to think about..
