Hi,
So as you guys know, I have kiwi (1 year old spayed doe) and papaya ( aprox 3 month old buck). Papaya will be neutered at 6 months or so. I have been letting them out together supervised to play. This week, Kiwi has finally started acknowledging that Papaya is there and grooming him :) I was thrilled! Kiwi was previously bonded to Citrus (neutered buck) but he passed away two months ago. Now Papaya being a young boy likes to jump Kiwi. She would either sit there and take it or run away. I would stop Papaya of course but he always got a few "humps" in.

Yesterday, I left them for a second to wash my hands, and I heard things banging. So I come around the corner and they are full on fighting! Doing the bunny circles and hair was everywhere :( No injuries that I saw yesterday, just missing hair. I will check them again today when I'm home from work.

I don't know why this happened, and I don't know who started the fight... Why would they start to bond and then fight like this? I'm so upset that this happened :(

My guess is that kiwi got tired of the humping and faught with him. Until he's fixed I wouldn't let them play without a fence to prevent injuries.

Since Kiwi was bonded to Citrus, it will be difficult to bond Kiwi and Papaya.

Sweetie and Pudden would be okay for about 10 minutes, then they would fight. Both are fixed. Sweetie was bonded to Prince who passed away two weeks before I got Pudden. I am still trying to bond them.

I wish you luck and if you are able to bond them, I would like to know what you did to get them bonded. Sweetie is 3 years and Pudden is 2 years.

Has anyone else had a problem after both bunnies were spayed/ neutered trying to bond after another bunny that was bonded passed away? I am worried now, cause the main reason I got Papaya was for Kiwi...:(
