Why are so many people dying lately?
I think it's the weather. It heats up, the humidity can get to people, etc. More people tend to die in Summer than in Winter. Well, that goes for suicides, anyway. At the nursing home where I work, we've had 3 people die in the past week. There were 1 or 2 that looked like they were going to pass over the weekend when I was in on Friday, so our "count" might be higher. One lady also transferred out of our facility and died a week later. There have been more deaths there lately than there were since January when I started. Seriously, everything comes in 3's. One of my co-workers said that they sometimes go in 7's, too. So, it could end up being a "fun" week.
I wonder if that bump on the head to Billy Mays caused an embolism or something. My friend died from a pulmonary embolism from sitting on a plane from CA to WI. He died within a week of landing in WI (the pressure change from the plane dislodged a clot from his leg and it settled in his lung). He was only 18. A bump can do the same sort of thing.
ETA: Liam Neeson's late wife,
Natasha Richardson, died from brain trauma after-the-fact. She fell while skiing, and was fine after the fall. She even refused medical assistance, but was rushed via ambulance to the hospital 7 hours later. She died the next day. Weird stuff can happen to the human body.
