:(Came home from my daughters last night and Benjamin had not ate his food and was sitting outside in the rain. When I offered him supper he just sat there looking depressed. I started him on critical care, water and gas medication. He was in a lot of pain all night, only wanting to lay on my chest. He did at one point eat a little kale, carrot tops and a tiny bit of parsley, and drank. He is still in pain from his gut, not passing any poop. He is also running a fever. They are keeping him in the hospital to do x-rays, fluids, gut mobilzer and antibiotics ( at least one doseofthose ). Will let me know tonight if I can bring him home or if they are keeping him an extra day. My heart is breaking, I am so scared for him. They keep reassuring you that he will be alright, but you know us high anxiety types. I don't know why he is getting these attacks, he gets hay unlimited tymothy and alfafla because he won'teat the tymothy alone, handfuls of greens and limited pellets. I don't think I am brushing him enough because my grandson is asthmatic and am worried about flying fur. Please say some prayers for him, it has been a lousy Christmas:pray:

He will get better.

Okay, just got an update from the vet. Xrays show no abnormality, just some good - that is good news. He pooped, he is hopping around his cage - that too is good. Still no idea if they are letting him home tonight or tomorrow. Still lots of gas.

You are in my family's prayers this holiday season (should it dare to last that long)

Need to phone vet at 7 and see if he coming home tonight and how he is progressing. Sounded positive this afternoon. After first poo starts to come, more will follow and then he will start eating.

So glad he's feeling better, I saw the title of this post and my heart just dropped. All my best to you and yours, I'm sure you'll have him home safe and sound in no time.

Poor Benjamin!! I'm glad you got him to the vet quickly and he's showing sign of improvement. Hopefully he can come home soon and will be all better! He's such a sweetie pie. The mental image of him sitting outside in the rain on Christmas is heartbreaking. Good thing he has a mom who loves him and cuddles him all night.

Glad to hear he is perking up! Still sending quick recovery wishes his way!

We went with the expectations of picking him up because he was improving. He suddenly had a seizure and passed away 10 minutes before we got there. My heart is broken, I never even got to say goodbye. A lab tech held him while he died.

Oh Alma I'm so sorry!

This is so unexpected, and I'm sure you guys have had a rough enough Christmas.
Benjamin will be in good company with all the other bunnys over the bridge.

Oh no!
It's ok Alma. Benjamin had the best life possible and he stands proud and tall in the big field in the sky running free and telling all his new friends that his partner in life was simply in love with him and bent to his every will and need.
Goodbye Benjamin
Jj
